EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique)

EFT (also known as tapping) combines the cognitive benefits of conventional therapy and the physical benefits of acupuncture for much faster treatment of emotional issues and the physical and performance issues that often result. I believe that no matter what part of your life needs improving, there are unresolved issues (in the subconscious or conscious mind) that that may stop you growing from ‘surviving’ to ‘thriving’.

EFT stimulates parts of your body that can drastically reduce or eliminate distress that accompanies (or gives rise) to problems you face. EFT tapping often eliminates the problems forever. Even for physical issues or chronic pain it is common knowledge that any kind of emotional stress can impede the natural healing potential of the human body.

The Science behind EFT

EFT is only about 20 years old, but every year more astounding scientific research reveals why it is the perfect bridge between cutting edge Western medicine and practices from the East.

EFT stimulates the body’s meridian points, which significantly reduce activity in a part of your brain called the amygdala. When you experience trauma or fear, the amygdala is triggered and your body is flooded with cortisol, commonly known as the “stress hormone.” This stress response significantly influences, and sometimes causes, whatever it is that troubles you, such as fear, grief, anxiety, illness, etc. Tapping often removes the production of cortisol by the amygdala (stress response) when thinking about a stressful/traumatic event or emotion.

Sometimes my clients have kept traumas or negative emotions to themselves or even shared these with psychologists and/or psychiatrists and have never been able to be truly free. Can you imagine how amazed my clients are, and how great they feel, when they are able to relive traumatic or stressful experiences without any anxiety?
